The Falkland Islands has the United Kingdom flag as the canton on a blue field with the Falkland Islands coat-of-arms. The coat-of-arms depicts a ram (as sheep raising is a major economic activity) and the founding ship of John Davies named 'Desire', in 1952. Under the sheep and ship reads the motto: "Desire the Right".
