The flag of Venezuela carries the colors of a Venezuela
freedom fighter named Francisco de Miranda. The blue represents
the sea and the red and yellow are a reminder of the country's
historical ties to Spain. The seven stars represent the seven
provinces of Venezuela. The state seal contains two horns of plenty,
a running horse and a wheat sheaf.
