Arkansas Flag History !

The diamond in the Arkansas state flag represents that Arkansas is the only state to discover and mine diamonds in the United States.
The twenty-five stars represent the order of admission into the United States. The uppermost blue star shows that Arkansas was a member of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War.
The other three blue stars represent France, Spain and the US. All have held sovereignty in the area. The third state to be formed from the land of the Louisiana Purchase from France in 1803.
