Puerto Rico Flag History !

The Puerto Rican flag was designed by inverting the colors of the single starred flag of its neighbor in the Caribbean, Cuba. They are they same flag with inverted colors. The Cuban flag has blue stripes and a red triangle; the Puerto Rican flag is the opposite. The red stripes stands for the "blood" that nourishes the three branches of our government; Legislative, Executive and Judiciary. The white stripes represents individual liberty and the rights that keeps in perfect balance our form of government. The blue triangle stands for the "Republican Government", represented by the three branches. The white lone star represents "The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico".
